Fundraising for Lifeline Auckland...

Volunteers and staff from Lifeline fundraised at St Luke’s Shopping Centre this weekend and raised more than $1,800.

It’s a difficult task asking people for money at the best of times but with all the economic uncertainly around at the moment it is doubly challenging –so an especially big Thank-you to all the people who volunteered their time and efforts to make this event such a success.

Thank-you to all Lifeline volunteers...

Thanks to our sponsor Nestle; Lifeline was able to give each of its many volunteers a box of delicious Scorched Almonds as a small thank-you for all that they do for the community and for Lifeline. This was to mark Volunteer Awareness week in June.

If you are a current Lifeline Auckland volunteer and missed out on your goodies – please let Paul, Tania or Tracey know next time you are on shift and we will make sure you get your chocolates with our sincere thanks for all that you do.

Vodafone World of Difference...

Applications for the Vodafone Foundation’s World of Difference programme open on Monday 13 July.
The World of Difference Programme pays the salary and expenses of six passionate people each year, so they can work with the youth-focused cause of their choice.

This national capacity-building programme provides youth-related causes with an extra paid resource for 12 months, enabling organisations like Lifeline to start or complete projects, extend and improve services, up-skill staff and volunteers and in some cases give the organisation the leg-up they need to move forward more effectively.

There are six places available, so if you (or someone you know) have a great idea and a burning passion to work with Lifeline in relation to youth issues we would love to hear from you. Contact sarahf@lifeline.org.nz with your idea or visit www.worldofdifference.co.nz for more information and to read about the difference 38 recipients have made since 2002.

Entries close Friday 21 August 2009.
