Latest News Lifeline Appeal Weekend Thanks to our bucket-rattling volunteers, Lifeline 24/7 raised a total of $2,259 last weekend at St Lukes Shopping Centre. Engaging the public in our work is vital.  Not only in terms of donations, but also to raise awareness about the existence of our services. Thanks again to all who helped over the weekend.  It really is appreciated and makes a big difference to what we can achieve.
Donation from Rotary Club of Auckland Harbourside On Wednesday 25th February Lifeline was very pleased to host members of the Rotary Club of Auckland Harbourside at Lifeline’s offices in Greenlane. The Rotarians presented a cheque for $7,000 to Bryan Wilshire, Lifeline Auckland’s Chief Executive which was raised at Rotary’s annual Chinese New Year banquet in January which this year welcomed in the year of the Ox.
“We are very grateful to Rotary Club of Auckland Harbourside for all their hard work in organising such a wonderful event that has resulted in such a great donation to Lifeline Auckland” said Bryan Wilshire Chief Executive of Lifeline Auckland. The money raised will be split equally between Chinese Lifeline’s service and Lifeline 24/7 both of which provide free, confidential telephone counselling and support to the Auckland community. "Lifeline would struggle to exist without the financial support of individuals and organisations such as the Rotary Club of Auckland Harbourside..we don’t receive any Government funding for our services and with the current economic climate this year is shaping up to be a challenging one in terms of securing funding and donations – so this support is even more essential than ever before” said Sarah Frayne, Lifeline’s Fundraising Manager.
