For the last 3 years ASG has provided significant support for the Kidsline service in the form of sponsorship which has included a donation towards the costs of providing counselling to children as well as providing support for the Annual Kidsline Poster competition which this year includes an ASG Educational Fund scholarship valued at up to $12,000.
ASG’s General Manager Operations, Warwick James, visited Kidsline from Melbourne to sign the new sponsorship agreement for 2009/2010. He is pictured together with Lifeline Auckland's General Manager Anil Thapliyal.
"ASG is committed to providing children with the support they need to achieve their full potential through a complete education" said Warwick James, General Manager Operations of ASG. “We do this by offering an education program that enables parents to prepare for the costs of education, as well as providing a range of resources to families catering for children at different stages of development.”
ASG recognises that a lack of financial means is just one of the barriers that can prevent children from turning their educational dreams into a reality. What's happening at school or home can have a profound impact on a child's social and emotional wellbeing. |
